For Mature Audiences - Violence and Language

The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui is a witty and savage satire of the rise of Adolph Hitler. Arturo Ui, a small time New York gangster, comes to 1930's Chicago with his gang to “sell protection” to the Cauliflower Cartel’s little grocers using intimidation, threats, arson, and murder. But, unlike the gangster movies of the 1920s and ‘30s, this show is done for maximum laughs. A broad, vaudeville acting style, between-the-scenes musical numbers, and elaborate sets and costumes keep the action lively and funny.
