Spring Entertainment in Grand Rapids

Reif CenterThe Reif Center

The Reif Performing Arts Center has long been one of Grand Rapids’ most popular attractions. For over 30 years it has drawn regional crowds to its performances which run September through May. In recent years the Reif has presented between 35-40 national and international touring shows, representing a broad ranges of genres: musical theater, rock tributes, country, theater for young audiences, chamber ensembles, dance, bluegrass, etc.

Reif On The Road Continues

Since April of 2015, however, the Reif Center has been closed for major renovations and expansion. They were initially scheduled to reopen this February, but construction delays will keep their doors closed until the first of May. It is an exciting time for locals, as we’ve watched the facade transform, anticipation continues to build as we think about the improvements within the walls: an expanded lobby with fireplace, expanded bathrooms, new furnishings and updated technology in the main stage, and the addition of a second stage!

During this time, the Reif Center has been presenting performances “On the Road,” utilizing a number of different venues in the area. This week is steeped with opportunities to catch great entertainment:
