The Reif Performing Arts Center is northern Minnesota’s gem of a theater. The Reif is celebrating a new facility with a grand reopening season. “We are booked with national and international groups. November launches with Mark Chesnutt on November 3rd. Mark is an American country music singer. He is known as one of Country’s true musical treasures. Mark has 14 #1 hits, 23 top ten singles, four platinum albums and five gold records to his credit. The Four Bitchin’ Babes pay tribute to the wacky hectic lives of women and men with an unbridled, comedic commentary. The Accidental Hero is a one-man act by Patrick Dewane. Patrick shares the stories of his World War II experience through the eyes of his Grandfather Matt Konops. This performance was created by war journals Mr. Konops. A timely celebration of our armed forces on November 10th. Tickets: $20 Veterans FREE
Now in its 30th Season, the Minnesota based, Artaria String Quartet was recently lauded by Rob Hubbard of the St. Paul Pioneer Press — “Artaria Quartet is likely to give eloquent voice to whatever work it tackles.” Artaria has served as MPR Artists-in-Residence and was featured on Twin Cities Public Television as part of the Minnesota Original series. The Reif Dance program presents The Nutcracker over the weekend of November 9th-11th. The Reif Dancers recreate the classical ballet by Tchaikovsky. The Nutcracker tells the enchanting story of young Clara who dreams that her nutcracker doll is transformed into a valiant prince. A winter holiday tradition, this performance, with its passionate music, beautiful costumes and elegant dancing, will leave your family warm with good cheer.
