Each year the inducted legends of the Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota vote in up to 3 new individual members and up to 2 corporate members to the Hall. The requirements for gaining selection into the Minnesota Hall are: Must be at least 50 years of age, candidates must be a resident of Minnesota, and finally they must have made a significant contribution to angling. At large, nominations are accepted and the list is reduced to the top ten by the current inductees. The top ten are voted on to gain entry to the Hall.
The mission of the Fishing Hall of Fame of Minnesota is to honor and recognize anglers, industry representatives and others who have worked to preserve, protect and enhance Minnesota’s rich sport fishing heritage; and to pass on the skills and joys of fishing to future generations to forever keep fish and fishing in the land of 10,000 lakes. The Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame is a division of the Minnesota Fishing Museum & Education Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization. Proceeds from this event will support the operations & educational outreach of the organization. Donations are tax deductible, to the fullest extent of the law. The two entities are working on a joint venture by placing both companies under one roof. More updates will continue to be posted as they unfold.
