This week’s Grand Rapids Fishing Report 7-9-14 by: Tom Neustrom, MN Fishing Connection

The 4th of July has come and gone in Grand Rapids where the evening sky was brilliantly lighted in our country’s celebration. The fishing remains good with area lakes giving up nice fish to anglers. Walleyes have been the target of most with Pokegama, Trout, and Big Splithand providing good action. Bass fishing for both largemouth and smallmouth has been very good with Trout, Bass Lake, Big and Little Balsam, Spider and Pokegama giving anglers great action. Summer is in full swing in the Grand Rapids Area and besides fishing there are great bike trails and scenic rides north on Hwy. 38 that will take your breath away. Come join us this summer. We are truly about “Minnesota’s Nature”.
