This week’s Grand Rapids Fishing Report 7-16-14 brought to you by: Tom Neustrom, MN Fishing Connections. In Grand Rapids you will find great Minnesota Fishing.
The weather has dictated on where and how we fish for walleyes. There has been good walleye fishing on Pokegama, Trout, Wabana, Bowstring, and Sand lakes. Leaches and crawlers on a slip sinker jig have been pretty consistent. Jig and minnow have still been an option when all else fails. The Women on Winnibigoshish tournament held this last weekend and the conditions were tough. The ladies were up to the challenge, and lots of fish were brought to the scales. A great time was had by all. “Down to the ships they went”, was the theme of the ladies tournament. And they can definitely give the guys a run for their money. Congratulations to all of the winners. Bass fishing has been excellent and as the weather improves the fishing will follow. Come join us in Grand Rapids and you will realize the great destination we are. A great Minnesota fishing destination for the whole family.
