Rivers is a
vibrant, lively and contemporary
Italian restaurant serving lunch
and dinner, Monday through
Saturday. Fresh pasta,
hand-made daily, locally sourced
produce, and Chef Matthew Taylor
who puts his heart and soul into
every meal, an amazing kitchen
and serving staff, along with an
extensive wine list is just the
beginning of what Rivers Italian
is.

interior is bright, modern and crisp
with regular and high top tables and
a bar that invites friends to meet
up and the out-of-towners to size up
the area. A private room, the
"Cellar", allows groups up to eight
to have their own cozy and intimate
space. The "Gallery"
displaying local art, accommodates
groups up to 25. |
In
the summer, the shady patio is a
relaxing spot to enjoy the exquisite
food, wine and view of the
Mississippi River. With a
choice selection of appetizers,
pizzas, salads, entrees and
desserts, there is always something
for everyone. Wines are
featured monthly, there is always a
"pasta of the day" and the selection
of micro brews is rotated
seasonally.

Dinner
Chef
Matthew Taylor prepares a 4 to 6
course dinner from one specific
region. As each course is
delivered, Chef will speak about
the food that he used. Each
course is accompanied by wines
from the same region and a
representative from the
respective wine company will
also share insightful notes on
the wine pairing. These dinners
are typically priced around $75
per person and scheduled on a
Thursday night for seatings up
to 20 to 30 people. Reservations
only, so call to reserve your
spot.
Chef’s Table
Chef
Matthew Taylor is now hosting
the “Chef’s Table” at Rivers
Italian. Our Chef’s Table is a
special dining experience that
takes you out of Grand Rapids
and on a culinary journey to
anywhere you choose. Chef
Taylor will personally design a
dinner to suit any occasion;
whether it is an intimate
evening for two, or a fun
gathering of friends. These
dinners are the newest most
popular trend hitting Grand
Rapids. The Chef’s Table dinners
usually consist of 4 to 6
courses that are portioned to
give you full enjoyment down to
the last bite. Should you
desire, Chef Matthew and our
knowledgeable staff will also
pair wines from the best wine
list in Northern Minnesota to
make your evening even more
special. Chef Matthew has done
these dinners featuring
everything from fine French
cuisine, to Spain, to locally
raised products exploring
contemporary techniques, to
tours of our Italian menu. These
interactive evenings with the
chef have been enjoyed by guests
throughout the community and we
are pleased to bring them to you
at Rivers Italian.
