Wed & Sat Farmer's Market, 8a-1p @ downtown Grand Rapids.  Local produce by local farmers.
1st Friday First Friday of each month, 4-8p downtown. Visit galleries and meet artists in the downtown shopping district.
1-31 Cowhorn Crossing Pumpkin Patch open for the season. $4 general admission (children under 2 free). Corn maze, hay maze, petting zoo, hayrides.
1-31 Monthly Exhibit at the MacRostie Art Center: featuring six McKnight artists displaying works in the MacRostie Gallery, and Ceramic Cup Invitational displays in the Minnesota Gallery. (Opening reception 10/7, 5-7p)

1 Boo-tique Craft Show, 9a-4p @ Nashwauk Recreation Building.  Crafts, lunch, Halloween decorations, Christmas gifts and ornaments, quilts, and more.
1 5th Annual Kickin' Leaves Duathlon @ Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital. 7:30a registration, 9:30a duathlon. 2.5 mile run, 10 mi bike ride, 2.5 mile run. Entry fee includes long-sleeve tee, $30 individual, $50 team.
