Tuesdays Indies on Tuesdays, 7:30p @ Reif Performing Arts Center.  No charge; free-will donation accepted. Screenings of award winning independent and foreign films.
Thursdays Old Car Cruise Night every Thursday.  Members of the local car club cruise the streets and meet for treats at the Dairy Queen.  An informal gathering of classic and vintage cars; lookers welcome!
Thursdays Stockcar Races, 7p @ Grand Rapids Speedway, Itasca County Fairgrounds.  Pits open at 4p, hot laps at 6:30p, Racing at 7p. Tickets prices may vary for special races but generally run $11 Adults, $9 students/srs/military, children under 12 free with paid adult. $25 pit passes.
1 - 31 MacRostie Art Center Monthly Exhibit.
3 Nashwauk Celebration. 1p car show, 10a floatilla on Swan Lake,  10a-7p craft sales & flea market, 8p Street Dance. Fireworks @ dusk in Nashwauk. (best viewing is near the Dairy Queen just off Highway 169).
4 4th of July Fireworks @ Dusk, Drumbeater Island/Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids.  Free shuttle bus transportation departs from the parking lot of Lake Country Furniture beginning at 8pm.  Seating is on the golf course; bring a picnic blanket to sit on.
4 Nashwauk  Celebration - Two Town Trillion Race, 7a @ Nashwauk Park - end in Keewatin. Craft sale & flea market 10a-7p, 4th of July Parade at 12:30p, rock climbing wall, petting zoo, arts & crafts, kids games.
4 Nashwauk 4th of July Parade, noon. Followed by community actitivies. 
4 Hill City 4th of July Parades - Kid's parade at 10:30a, Grand Parade at 11a @ Lake Avenue. 
6 - 8 63rd Annual Deer River Wild Rice Festival, sponsored by the Deer River Lions Club.
Friday: Midway opens at 5p, Sportsman's Club Turtle Feed 5-8p, Pow Wow 6p, Live Music & Beer Garden
Saturday: Wild Rice Run 7a registration, Bike Rodeo 10a, Flea Market, Sawdust Scramble noon, Bracelet Day on the Midway, Lion's Bingo 3-10p, Colgate Country Showdown 5-7p, Great Outdoor Open Air Concert & Street Dance 8p.  Fireworks Extravaganza 10p.
Sunday: Flea Market 9a, Vintage Car Show following parade, Festival Parade 1p (rain or shine),  Bracelet Day on the Midway
TBD 28th Annual Timberman Triathlon, 8a @ Sugar Lake Lodge. Sprint course: 1/3 mile swim, 11 mile bike, and 3 mile run.  Int'l course: 1 mile swim, 24 mile bike, and 6 mile run.
12 - 14 Mississippi Melodie Showboat,  8:30p performance.  All tickets are general admission seating and can be purchased at the gate beginning at 7p the night of the performance. Tickets $10 adults, $9 seniors, $6 students. 13 - 15 Tall Timber Days Softball Tournament @ Sports Complex & Portage Park fields.
19 - 21 Mississippi Melodie Showboat, 8:30p performance.  All tickets are general admission seating and can be purchased at the gate beginning at 7p the night of the performance. Tickets $10 adults, $9 seniors, $6 students. 21 Spirit Fest, 11a - 10p @ St Joseph's parish campus. Live music all day, food, cash bingo, children's games, used-a-bit sale, raffles, beer garden, all class reunion.
21 - 22 Seussical @ Edge Center for the Arts, Bigfork. Presented by the Stages Theater of Hopkins.
26 - 28 Mississippi Melodie Showboat, 8:30p performance.  All tickets are general admission seating and can be purchased at the gate beginning at 7p the night of the performance. 27 - 29 56th Annual North Star Stampede @ Effie. Fri: 5p, Sat & Sun: 2p.  International trick rider all three days. $10 adults, $5 children.
28 28th Annual Northern Cruisers Car Show, 7a-4p @ IRA Civic Center. Cost $1  (Click here for the Car Show Video) A shuttle bus runs between the two cars events and they are within walking distance to each other.
28 - 29 41st Annual Northern MN Itasca Vintage Car Club Show & Swap Meet. Sat: 7a-6p, Sun: 7a-4p @ Itasca County Fairgrounds. Large swap meet and flea market both days. Saturday only craft show. Sunday only Car Show. (Click here for the Car Show Video) Parking $5/car, $2/motorcycle.

3 36th Annual Bigfork Valley Hospital Auxilliary Arts & Crafts Fair, 10a-4p @ Bigfork School.

3 - 5 24th Annual White Oak Rendezvous, Deer River.  Fri: 10a-7p, Sat: 10a-7p, Sun: 10a-4p.  Enjoy live music, food booths, story telling, traders selling their wares, family camps of the era, demonstrations in black powder shooting, primitive archers, and Ojibwa Village, and replica of the 1798 Northwest Co Fur Post with living history interpreters. Special classes held at several locations throughout the site including: Hawk Range classes, blacksmith shop, fur post cook, Lewis & Clark Expedition, NW Company Store, Bourgeois Quarters, Bread Oven and Voyageur Camp.

4 - 5 31st Annual Tall Timber Days  (free)
Weekend festival of Lumberjack shows, craft and food vendors, live entertainment, beer garden, children's activities all in downtown Grand Rapids.
Friday: 8p Street dance & beer garden
Saturday: 9a Food booths, education tent, arts & crafts vendors, bounce house and slide, chainsaw carvers, bingo tent all open, 10a entertainers begin, 11a/3p/5p Scheer's Lumberjack Shows, 11a beer garden opens, 6p amateur talent show, 8p street dance with The Castaways band.
Sunday: 9a Sky Pilot Sunday service, food vendors, arts & craft vendors, chainsaw carvers, bingo, 10a entertainment begins, noon beer garden, noon pet parade, noon Scheer's Lumberjack Show, 12:30p pre-parade, 1p Grand Parade, following parade: turtle races, 3p Scheer's Lumberjack Show.

4 - 5 11th Annual Round Robin Canoe Race, Sat 9a-4p, Sun 8:30a to conclusion @ Crystal Lake.
11 Roller Derby: Iron Range Maidens vs. Grand FORX Sugar Beaters @ Hodgkins-Berardo Arena/Coleraine
11 Bigfork Valley Kid's Challenge. Learn sport skills and compete; for kids 5-12. NFL Punt, Pass & Kick venue.
11 - 12 27th Annual Threshing & Antique Show, 9a @ Blackberry farm club grounds. $5 at the gate.  Displays, activities, steam engines, gas engines, antiques, tractors, sawmill, threshing, farm tools, blacksmithing, shingle mill, quilt raffle, flea market and more. (Click here to see the Video)

15-19 119th Itasca County Fair @ Itasca County Fairgrounds. Admission, $3 per person at the gate, or by the carload when you park for $7 per car.
Wednesday: 1p flower & fine art judging, noon opening flag ceremony, noon midway opens, 2p pet show, 2-5p Mounted Shooters demonstration, 7p stock car races.
Thursday: 9a 4-H horse show, 10a buildings open, 10a kid's coin scramble, 11a Squeak the Clown, noon midway opens, noon-5p $20 armbands for rides, 2p pedal tractor pull, 7p stock car races.
Friday: 9a horse show, 9a dairy show, 10a buildings open, 11a music, noon senior citizen lunch & awards, noon midway opens, 2:30-5p Norm Barnhart comedy & magic, 5-7p Farm Olympics, 7-10p Bob & the Beach Combers, 7p Enduro car races.
Saturday: 9a horse show, 10a buildings open, noon midway opens, noon-5p $20 armband, 2:30-5p Farmer Norm, 5p 4-H Chicken BBQ contest, 7p demolition derby with fireworks display to follow.
Sunday:  noon Saddle Club play day, noon midway opens, 1p 4-H supreme showmanship competition, 1-5p Karaoke, 1-3p Marina Whight - harpist, 3-8p final fling $20 armband.
17-19 Grand Slam Amateur Golf Tournament @ Pokegama, Eagle Ridge, & Sugarbrooke golf courses.
TBD Construction Cruise Motorcycle Ride, 11a @ Itasca County Habitat for Humanity Restore parking lot. 150 mile ride. $10 per person, $10 t-shirts.
TBD White Oak Tractor Club Show @ White Oak Society grounds, Deer River. Antique tractors & equipment on display. Pancake breakfast each day 7a-11a, parade both days at 1:00p. Food vendors, flea market (no charge for vendors), farmer's market,  horse-drawn wagon rides, music by Country Legends band.
