Grand Rapids Ice Fishing Report 3-11-15 by Tom Neustrom, MN Fishing Connections.
Wow! The weather has took center stage in change. We change the clocks and “Bang” it starts to feel like Spring. Hopefully the bitter cold is back around the corner, but don’t put your gloves and boots away just yet. The trails are still in excellent condition and with the warmer weather of late even a stroll in the woods has its passion and mystique.
Ice fisherman are enjoying one of the best seasons in years with good fishing and terrific mobility. Caution is stressed always on ice and as Spring approaches extra care should be taken. Continue to think small with your baits and your success for crappies, bluegills and perch will continue to produce lots of fish. Some of the lakes that will give late season ice anglers some great opportunities are Big and Little Splithand, Big and Little Cutfoot Souix, Big Balsam, Bowstring, and Pokegama Lakes just to mention a few.
Again always be careful and enjoy the late season fishing and trails that Grand Rapids has to offer.
