With the cooler than normal water temperatures this season, make sure you fish slower until the fish tell you different. Walleyes are not aggressive early in the season and even though catchable, you need to move your baits deliberately slower. Many times during the day active walleyes may be a little deeper than normal. In the evening walleyes will generally move shallower and be more active. As the water warms hungry walleyes will be at several depths and easier to contact. The lakes in the Grand Rapids area are some of the best in the state for enjoying great walleye fishing as well as other species. We are about Minnesota’s Nature. Come join us.
