This week’s Grand Rapids Fishing Report brought to you by Tom Neustrom, MN Fishing Connections.
With cooler than normal temperatures greeting anglers last weekend, it will be a turnabout this next week coming up. The warmer weather has made the walleye fishing improving on a daily basis and the crappies will move back in the shallows again.
A VMC Mooneye Jig and a shiner has been on fire and many limits of walleyes have been coming in of late. Depths of 6-12 feet have been best and moving at a snail’s pace jigging has been best. Some of the best area lakes to try have been Bowstring, Jesse, Round, and Big Winnie. Shoreline breaks have still been your best choices on all area lakes. Get out and enjoy the pleasant weather on the horizon. As the water temperatures heat up the walleye fishing will to. Have a great week.
Early season fishing is a great time to come to Grand Rapids, Minnesota! Many lodging properties have early season deals to take advantage of. Come fish and stay!
