Grand Rapids Fall Fishing Report 9-25-14 by Tom Neustrom, MN Fishing Connections
What a great place to be alive. The Grand Rapids Area is nearly in full color and nature’s way of dressing up is upon us. The Fall fishing continues to get better as the days get cooler and there is a sense of urgency to put on the feed bag. Walleyes are not only biting shallow on some of the area lakes, but you can also find them in the 20-22 foot depths as wee. Jig and minnow is the preferred method of late. The crappie fishing continues to heat up and use your electronics to find schools of suspended fish and then vertically jig them with a small minnow. Opening of duck season is coming and hunters are anticipating a great year. Come join us in the Grand Rapids Area for a touch of Northern Minnesota’s magic.
