Bisch Bash is one of the Grand Rapids, MN area’s Premiere Annual Events.
This annual event was established to honor the memory of friend, teacher, coach, volunteer, wife and mother, Jackie Bischoff of Cohasset Minnesota. Since the initial bash, the Itasca Area Cancer Crisis Fund was designed to assist Itasca County residents struggling with the effects cancer treatment can have on a family. For more information or to donate to this fund check out the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation or contact them at 218-999-9100.
Held the last Saturday in June, the Bash involves the entire family by providing fun activities for folks of all ages. All proceeds from the upcoming Bisch Bash 4 event benefit the Itasca Area Cancer Crisis Fund. Each year the event raises more and more for the fund, with last year’s event raising nearly $75,000. The event will be held at Portage Park on Saturday, June 29 from 10 a.m. to midnight with a 5K run, pledge walk, talent show, balloon release, kids carnival games, silent auction, techno tent, baseball games, water wars, games galore, dance contest, bean bag contest, DJ music throughout the day, as well as live entertainment by the band Arena, fireworks and a special magic show by Ronald McDonald.
