Welcome back to my blog. I had a fun time this week shopping at some local businesses and hitting the trails for an ATV ride.
ATV/OHV Trail Riding
With all of the fall colors, it is a gorgeous time to be outside! I wanted to take advantage of the last bit of this nice weather, so I went out for an ATV ride with some friends. Grand Rapids has so many ATV and OHV trails that are kept up nice and have beautiful scenery. I went out on Smith Creek Trail and enjoyed the ride. Part way through, I enjoyed a nice picnic overlooking Cook Lake. This time of year is great to be out. The bugs have died down and there isn’t so much heat! I really enjoyed myself out on the trails. If you are a fan of ATV or OHV rides, make sure to check out some of the trails in this area. They are gorgeous this time of year!
Whenever I’m visiting an area, I love to head into the downtown area and check out some of the local shops. Grand Rapids and the surrounding communities has a lot to offer. So I thought it might be fun to head out to a couple of the local places and see what I can find!
My first stop was Wings ‘N Willows Art Gallery and Custom Framing, then I headed next door to Jenny & Company. I finished off my shopping adventure at Hopperton’s Moccasin and Gift. All of these shops were unique and had a lot of local goods to offer. It was interesting seeing all of the kitchenware in Jenny & Co, and the decorations in Wings ‘N Willows. Hopperton’s had a lot of local souvenirs. If you are visiting the area, this would definitely be a fun place to visit to get some locally made memorabilia! I wish I would have had more time to visit all of the stores, but I’ll just have to plan another shopping day! If you are in the area, check out our shopping page to see a list of stores!
Between now and my next week’s blog, I’ll be going out to Highway 38 Garage Sales and trying out some hiking! If you have a favorite place to shop or ride, tell me about them on Facebook, I want to hear about your experiences! Make sure to check in next week on my blog to hear about my time at these events!
